How climate councils can integrate health into climate policy
Strengthening climate governance through effective climate councils can ensure climate and health objectives are integrated to benefit lives and livelihoods. Supported by the Wellcome Trust, and implemented by ESSA Technologies, the International Climate Councils Network launched a climate and health project in 2026 to develop guidance on how 31 climate councils can incorporate health into their climate policy advice. We ran three workshops, eight 1-1 climate council sessions and collected 12 success stories.
