Brazil and Vanuatu join the International Climate Councils Network

Climate advisory bodies to the Brazilian and Vanuatu governments have joined the International Climate Councils Network, a group of 28 science-based councils from around the world.

The newly established Brazilian Scientific Advisory Chamber (CAC) and Vanuatu’s National Advisory Board for Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction (NAB) have joined an international network of 28 climate councils from around the world.

The creation of the Scientific Advisory Chamber by the Brazilian government speaks to the COP30 host’s commitment to strengthening its national climate governance.  Vanuatu’s long-standing National Advisory Board will bring an experienced and urgent small-island developing state perspective to the network.

The new members from Brazil and Vanuatu will be formally welcomed by the other 16 members present at COP30 at a pavilion event on Monday 17th at 17:30.
