The study by the Green Transition Office, an independent advisory body under the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, assesses the decarbonisation potential for the agricultural sector, including its role in increasing the share of renewable energy in final energy consumption. The study aims to support Ukraine’s ambitions for low-carbon development and achieving climate neutrality target by mid-century. This document presents a detailed analysis of greenhouse gas emission structure in the agricultural sector, a description of emission reduction and carbon sequestration technologies, and an assessment of the potential and costs of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
