Climate councils: Turning evidence into action
Join the International Climate Councils Network (ICCN) for the launch of its first-ever Annual Report, which shows how councils turn knowledge and data into actionable recommendations for policymakers navigating complex challenges. Drawing on case studies from around the world, the report explores how council advice has helped governments act quickly and with confidence on evidence-based policy, from decarbonising energy systems and infrastructure to strengthening climate considerations in public procurement and mobilising critical climate finance. Panellists will share reflections from their own countries on the importance of independent expert climate policy advice and strong climate governance.
Where: Business Sweden Pavilion, Blue Zone, COP31
