ICCN Case Studies and Toolkit

Establish a new climate council

There is no single answer on how to establish a new climate council as every country is unique in terms of its politics, natural resources, economy and culture.

So rather than offer a simple step-by-step process, the ICCN has launched for COP29 a toolkit that recognises these differences and allows you to select the most relevant lessons learned from existing climate council case studies.

In addition, the ICCN will seek to offer a peer-to-peer coaching relationship with one of our existing members for any potential new councils.

The toolkit will be soft-launched at COP29, with the full online tool – including case studies from members – available on this website in 2025.
